Personality: Michael is pessimistic and isolated. He is terrified of himself and it shows.

 

Michael is an interesting case. He makes himself seem smaller and insignificant because he doesn't want people to notice him. But that's exactly who bullies look for to pick on. He already knew of his condition, but had managed to keep it a secret. But on one occasion when a bully went too far he couldn't control it and he caught the bully on fire. That was the story, at least. The ground around him was scorched and his clothes and the bully's were burned in places. Remarkably, Michael was unburned, but the bully was sent to the hospital. He doesn't have any more bully's, but everybody in his home town thinks he's a pyro. If his emotions get too high for any reason, he starts to heat up. Possibly even catching things on fire.

 

If school scenario, your character would have to be a new student, or e would move away after school was over and he wouldn't talk about his past.
